Experience
I have significant experience in the charitable, primary care and educational sectors and have worked with adults of all ages. Prior to my career in counsellor, I worked in music as an orchestral arranger, record producer, musical director and composer for film and TV. I'm originally from the US and live in The Mumbles with my wife and our tireless young daughter.
Teaching
In addition to my therapy practice, I am a lecturer and module leader at the University of South Wales, where I teach on the CBT and Integrative PG Diploma courses, as well as serve as a module lead and dissertation supervisor on the Psychotherapy Research Masters and Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology programmes.
As of September 2022, I am a lecturer of counselling skills on the Genomic Counselling MsC in the School of Medicine at Cardiff University.
I have also delivered CPD workshops in the US and UK on sexuality within counselling, the effects of social media and digital culture on identity formation and subjectivity, existentialism and meaning within psychotherapy and the philosophy of Nietzsche and Deleuze and Guattari.
